John W. Weingardt, CPA, has over 35 years of experience in public accounting. His public accounting experience has been with a national CPA firm as well as a sole practitioner. John’s experience has an emphasis in taxation, closely held businesses, estate planning, and exit planning for business owners.

John has assisted our clients with their tax and small business consulting needs. John is skilled in all phases of the entrepreneurial journey including formation, tax-saving strategies, profit improvement, and the eventual sale and monetization of the business owner’s interest in the business.

John is a graduate cum laude from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting, economics, and business administration. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Indiana and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of CPA’s.

John is active in politics in the City of Fishers. He currently serves as a City Councilor and is chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. He is on the board of directors at Launch Fishers, an entrepreneurial workplace in Fishers, the Fishers Police Foundation, the Riverview Health Foundation, and Phoenix Theater. In his spare time, he enjoys classic car collecting and spending time with family and friends.

John lives in Fishers, Indiana with his wife of 38 years, Tina. John has three children: Ashley (Chris); Abby (Ben), and John (Sarah). John also has five grandchildren (Ellie, Quinn, Clara, Birdie, and Baker).

Mike Potter, CPA has over 30 years of public accounting experience. His focus is on assurance services, buy-sell transactional consulting, and management advisory services.

Mike began his career in 1987 with an international accounting firm specializing in audits for publicly traded companies. He ultimately joined Crossroads starting the firm’s audit and assurance services practice area in 1992. He became a partner with the firm in 1996. Mike directs the firm’s assurance services across a broad spectrum of closely-held and not-for-profit entities.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ball State University. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Indiana and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.

Mike serves on the board of the Megan S. Ott Foundation and is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Riley Festival.

Mike and his wife live in Greenfield, Indiana and are the proud parents of three sons and one daughter and the proud grandparents of four (and counting) grandchildren. In his spare time, Mike enjoys whitewater rafting, hiking, and traveling.

Kirk is a former CPA with more than 37 years of experience in public and private accounting and joined Platform Accounting Group in December 2024. He has extensive experience in audits, reviews, compilations, taxation and business consulting in a wide range of industries. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Ball State University in 1987 and became a CPA in 1990. Outside of work, Kirk enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at his church, and participating in and watching a wide variety of sports and activities.

Jim is an EA with 7 years of experience in public accounting an joined Crossroads Advisors in December 2024 working remotely from Colorado Springs, CO. His experience includes tax work with individuals, S-Corporations and partnerships. He is currently a CPA exam candidate and is hoping to complete the CPA exam in 2025.

He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2011 and a Master’s Degree from Colorado State University-Global Campus in 2021. Jim has 4 kids and enjoys spending time with the family and is a fan of all Colorado sports teams.

Rita is a CPA with over 40 years experience in public accounting. She has been with her current team since November 2014. Rita grew up in Illinois and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University. After college Indiana became home. Favorite things to do is spending time with family and friends and frequently likes throwing a good card party.

Angie is an experienced Bookkeeper with more than 25 years’ experience across many different organizations. She attended Indiana University, IUPUI and The University of Phoenix. When not working, Angie loves spending time with her family, her dogs, and playing golf.

Jourdan has more than 14 years of experience in public and private accounting. She has experience in audits, reviews, compilations, and bookkeeping services for many different industries. Jourdan received her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2007. Outside of work, Jourdan enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in her church and children’s’ schools.

Janie has 30 years of experience in office administration. She started with the firm in 1994 as a receptionist after graduating Professional Careers Institute with a degree in Office Administration and now holds the position of Operations Manager. She served 8 years as a member of the CPA Firm Management Association, Indiana Chapter, serving 2 of those years as President of the board. Janie enjoys spending time outside of the office with her family, traveling and teaching classes in Pilates, Yoga, and Self Defense/Personal Security workshops for women.

Amanda is the office manager and has been with the firm since 2000. She has extensive experience with book keeping, payroll, and tax prep. Amanda enjoys working closely with clients to give them the best service.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family.
